Behind the velvet rope: Remix summer launch party

Last Thursday marked a celebration of the glittering kind. Not only was it the launch party of the Remix ICON edition, featuring cover star Naomi Campbell, but Remix founder Tim Phin celebrated a special birthday. With dual reason to toast, the Remix team were joined by a host of VIP guests at Auckland's The Wharf, beautifully situated under the Harbour Bridge. Dressed to kill in black and gold, the guests raised a glass in celebration.

Whether carving up shapes on the dancefloor to the tunes by Nice N' Urlich, or splashing around in confetti in the Moët & Chandon bathtub upstairs, an enjoyable night was had by all. Tim even had his moment behind the decks which caused a flurry of people to report to the dancefloor, stat.

Before heading off to our after party at Seafarers, in the heart of Auckland's fine dining precinct, guests were offered a deluxe Timberland goodie bag complete with gifts courtesy of Maybelline, L'Affare, Chloe, Swisse, and St Tropez.

The festivities would not have been possible, of course, without the help of our incredible team of sponsors. As always, the team at DARKHORSE executed an amazing event from start to finish. Guests enjoyed their choice of Heineken beer, champagne courtesy of Moët & Chandon, delicious V Pure cocktails, as well as jugs of super summery Rekoderlig punch. Remix editor Steven Fernandez was looking dapper in his Workshop suit, while digital editor Ashleigh Coldicutt and magazine manager Beth Mackinnon both rocked outfits by Ruby. The amazing teams at Servilles Ponsonby and M.A.C Newmarket gave the girls a glamorous makeover to boot. Special thanks to our incredible interns who helped on the door, Caitlin Nugent and Maxine Fourie.
