This couple just said "I do" on Everest

A US couple took their romance to new heights last month - 17,600 feet, to be exact. 32-year old Ashley Schmieder and 35-year old James Sisson have become the first couple to marry at the Mt Everest Base Camp amid sheer landscapes, freezing temperatures and dwindling oxygen supply.

After no less than three years of training and preparation, the couple and their photographer, Charleton Churchill, embarked on the trek up to the Mt Everest base camp. They battled food poisoning and altitude sickness on the way up, but eventually Ashleigh and James were able to exchange vows in front of the famous Khumbu ice-fall and Nuptse Face.

From the base camp, the couple were helicoptered back to Kathmandu to warm up and celebrate. But not before their photographer noticed this heart-shaped cloud formation in the sky. Nawwwww.
