Inside Sweden's new treehouse hotel

Already swamped with emails, mountains of paperwork, and looming deadlines? Us too. If you're daydreaming about your next adventure abroad, then consider Sweden's Treehotel your next destination.

Boasting seven unique treehouses designed by seven Scandinavian architects, guests have the option of staying in a birds nest, a mirrored cube, or a charred timber cabin.

Opened in 2010 by Kent Lindvall and his wife Britta, the Treehotel offers themed accommodation for tourists keen to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights in the Arctic Circle.

Arranged through a stretch of forest in Harads, the seven suites are the ultimate when it comes to living out your childhood fantasy. Inspired by the film Tree Lover, where three urbanites build a treehouse together in the forest, the duo decided to ditch running their 1930's guesthouse and offer out a treehouse instead.
