The latest hair removal craze

Introducing, the next big thing in hair removal – sugaring. The technique is as sweet as it sounds, free from pain, nasty after effects and doesn't cost the earth.

As summer is just around the corner, going bare is going to be on the agenda. However, no one said that waxing and lazer treatments are easy. While waxing can cause skin irritation, lazer treatments can be pricey and takes more or less of a journey. Sugaring on the other hand is 100% natural and long-lasting.

Dating back to Egyptian times, sugaring is gentle and suitable for all skin types making it the ideal hair removal technique. The method combines water, lemon and sugar, creating a paste that exfoliates and removes hair in its direction of growth, which prevents hair breakage.

Danielle Correia, owner of Sugaring LA says, 'sugaring is more than just a hair removal method, it’s also a light exfoliant (this helps reduce the chance of rash and redness). Our paste adheres only to the hair and dead skin cells, minimizing any redness or discomfort after treatment. This is one of the main differences between sugaring and waxing: while wax bonds to both the hair follicles and surrounding skin area, the sugaring paste doesn’t pull on or irritate the skin.'

Sugaring has won our vote!
