The glittering guest list at Levi’s 50th bash rivalled a Hollywood awards ceremony

Levi’s sure knows how to throw a party.

Boasting a guest list that would rival an awards evening comprised of Hollywood’s elite, Levi’s curated a crowd of 50 icons and influencers to help them celebrate 50 years of one of the most iconic pieces of American clothing – the 1967 Type III Trucker Jacket.

If you’re unfamiliar with the name, you’ll know this iconic jacket when you see it – it’s been known as the definitive jean jacket for decades.

Set at the Levi’s Haus Strauss in Los Angeles on October 5, the glittering guest list danced to Snoop Dogg’s DJ set, and enjoyed performances by Chance the Rapper, and songstress Solange.

The likes of Vogue Australia’s Fashion Director, Christine Centenera rubbed shoulders with Grammy-award winning DJ, songwriter and producer, Diplo, while supermodel and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss danced with fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Romee Strijd.

But that was only the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Soccer player Robbie Rogers, Tinie Tempah, Kanan Gill, Feng Chen Wang, Clayton Kershaw, among others were part of the soiree.

Challenged to create their own one-of-kind Levi’s Trucker jacket, these influencers delivered their own creative flair and personal style to the piece, which were then displayed on the night as part of an art installation to celebrate the vibrant history of this iconic garment.

On the night, attending talent, media and influencers were invited to customise their own Levi’s Trucker Jacket, too, using embroidery, chain-stitching, airbrushing, patches and pins, at the Levi’s Tailor Pop Up.
