This stunning Melbourne home was once a church

The incredibly talented visionaries at Kister Architects company have created an absolutely stunning home from an old Melbourne church.

The house centres around a large lap pool, with a curved semi-ceiling echoing the vaulted ceiling with exposed beams still intact in the home’s interior. Industrial-styled, exposed stone columns are balanced by a sleek, modern approach to décor, with white sheepskin rugs, navy blue settees and timber wood detailing. Everything has struck the perfect balance between the old and the new.

Touches of greenery add to the homely feel of the place, both inside and out. It’s official – this Church has become home-sweet-home for one lucky Aussie family.
