Move over hot yoga, here comes hot pilates

Right on the brink of winter comes an enticingly warm and novel way to workout the body and the mind. Forget braving the frosty elements and get yourself down to RISE, New Zealand’s first ever studio to offer both hot Yoga and hot Pilates.

Tucked behind the Parnell French markets at 79 St Georges Bay Road, RISE Hot Yoga & Pilates boasts airy and serenely simple interiors.

There's 31 classes a week between 6am and 6:45pm on weekdays and 7:45am and 2:30pm on weekends, making RISE is the idyllic space for your morning invigoration or weekend escape.  Complementary mats, towels and pre-class refreshments are offered along with each class.

The studio is heated to a cosy 27 - 30 degrees, but also equipped with a fresh air cooling system to ensure things don’t get too humid or sticky. Practicing yoga and pilates in a heated environment encourages freedom of movement, increased blood flow, as well as helping to shift the focus inward.

Founder Alexandra Stafford, aims to inspire members to take time out of their busy days to raise their spirits. “It takes a lot of effort to make time in your day for yourself. I wanted to create a studio that helps to make it a little easier to commit to doing you."

RISE offers oodles of membership options, including a weekly subscription with unlimited access to classes, 5 and 10 class packs and casual visits. But to celebrate the launch RISE Hot Yoga & Pilates will also be offering a weekend of FREE weekend of hot Yoga and Pilates classes on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May.

Registration is essential, so head to their website here.
