Seven ways to jazz up your workwear wardobe

Cooler days are looming, and with this comes the added pressure of how to layer up while still looking chic at the office.

Thankfully, we've got a few tips and tricks up our sleeves for nailing workwear dressing so your autumn outfits are never dull!

1. Find a pair of statement trousers

We love a good pair of wide-legged pants at the moment, and there are so many colourful designs or eye-catching patterns to choose from. The great thing about this trend is that all you need is a crisp white shirt and you're good to go. When it does get cooler, add a chunky scarf or fur vest to stay toasty warm.

2. Invest in a good coat

A top-quality coat makes any outfit instantly better. Make sure you choose a colour which will fit into your wardrobe easily, to minimise all the 'what-do-I-wear-with-this' last minute worries. The hues we are loving at the moment are mustard, light grey and khaki.

3. Layer up

Layering turtlenecks or shirts underneath camisoles, or even jumpsuits or dresses, is a perfect way to jazz up your summer clothing come winter. This means you can utilise what you already have in your wardrobe without having to spend any moolah. We're in!

4. Consider tonal dressing

Wearing similar colours, especially when they are lighter colours like grey or white, is another easy way to spice up your usual workwear attire and bag some style points. Just make sure to keep it simple with, for example, a shirt, pants and coat option (as pictured).

5. More is more when it comes to accessories

It may seem like you're wearing the same outfits day-in, day-out, but trust us when we say that accessories really do make a difference. On one day, wear your new grey coat with a dusky pink bag and scarf, and on another day accessorise it with black boots and dark sunnies. We especially love the use of socks with stilettos or strappy heels at the moment - mesh preferred!

6. Buy a matching set

Everybody at the moment is wearing pantsuits - and bold ones like this nonetheless. The great thing here is if you make the jump and buy a set, you can wear it all in one, or you can wear them separately. That's three outfits from one great purchase.

7. Opt for over-sized knits

A significantly cheaper option than a coat, and definitely one to stand out, knitwear can certainly be dressed up for the office. Make like Hailey Baldwin and wear it with a statement pencil skirt and heels, or even wear it with your go-to slim black pants and some stilettos.
