Where to be during Auckland's Four Days of Fashion

Our country's largest annual fashion retail celebration is about to kick off with four days of style, spectacle and excitement coming to the City of Sails from the 29th March. This year promises to deliver in abundance with beauty workshops, runway shows, performances, free makeovers, exhibitions and installations.

This year's events will span the broad range of Auckland's fashion (from boutique to high-end), as well as a range of venues (across Britomart, High Street, Queen Street and Wynyard Quarter). We've rounded up four  free-entry faves from the programme.

The last Friday in March Fashion Show

At midday on Friday March 31st, a (literally) traffic-stopping spectacle outside Smith & Caughey's Queen Street will showcase the finest Kiwi and international fashion for all ages. Models will take to the streets to deliver new season Karen Walker, Miss Selfridge, Camilla and Marc, Kate Sylvester, Stolen Girlfriends and more against the urban backdrop of Auckland's biggest commercial thoroughfare.

Jelly at Ruby

On Friday evening Ruby Boutique will be serving up an enticingly edible event with a little help from the Jellyologist. Pop over to the High Street boutique at 6pm to meet designer Deanna Didovich, check out their new Italian-Renaissance inspired A/W 2017 threads and indulge in a sweet, wobbly treat.

Walk the Walk fashion show

On Sunday April 1st, two fashion shows on Elliot Street will journey back in time to explore and celebrate Auckland's fashion history. Guests are invited to dress up in their own vintage favourites for the 1pm and 2pm shows, with prizes on offer for the best dressed.
