A new Gossip Girl series is about to be released

It's safe to say that if there was a show that captured the hearts of teens all around the world, it was Gossip Girl. Whether you dreamed of being on the Upper East Side with Blair, Serena and her minions, or living life in Brooklyn with the Humphrey clan, Gossip Girl had our full attention.

It’s hard not to imagine what life would be like in NYC alongside these dream teens, but, sadly for us, all good things must come to an end and G.G stopped airing in 2012. However, no longer do we have to rewatch outdated episodes to get our fix of teen drama, as a new show is about to be released, labelled as 'the new Gossip Girl'.

Oh, we are so ready for this!

Prep, a novel by Curtis Sittenfeld, featuring all the drama we craved from G.G, is being adapted into an HBO TV series. The plot follows a Midwestern teen, Lee Flora, who transfers to a posh boarding school. Lee leaves her old life behind only to encounter all the teen drama we're addicted to: boyfriends, breakups, gossip, partying and everything else in between. It’s rumoured that Lee is also pretty flawed, reminding us a little too much of Serena who didn't always make the best decisions.

Spanning four years and following Lee’s entire high school experience - yes, that means multiple seasons, we can already see the Blair Waldorf and Nate Archibald replicas, helping us to fix those G.G withdrawals.

With Game of Thrones executive producer Carolyn Strauss and former 30 Rock writer/producer Colleen McGuiness getting involved in the series, we're betting Prep is going to be the next big thing.

You know you’ll love it.
XOXO
