Beyoncé's latest wax figure looks nothing like her...

Earlier this week Madame Tussauds New York unveiled Beyoncé's latest wax figure, and it's going to be a popular one, that's for sure... but for all the wrong reasons - it looks nothing like her. 

There has since been online outrage from Tweeters who suggest the wax figure's complexion is too pale, and is in fact, "whitewashed".

Some fans have even gone as far as to describe the wax figure as "disrespectful" and "disgusting". Others say it resembles the likes of Kate Hudson, Mariah Carey and Lindsay Lohan.

Madame Tussauds responded to E! News in regards to the backlash their Beyoncé blunder had caused, stating:

"Our talented team of sculptors takes every effort to ensure we accurately colour match all of our wax figures to the celebrity being depicted. Lighting within the attraction combined with flash photography may distort and misrepresent the colour of our wax figures."

We still aren't sure whether you could label this wax figure as 'Beyoncé', but it's the thought that counts right?
