Dom Dolla and Split Enz reunion to headline Electric Avenue 2026

If you’re anything like us (and the crowd we hang around), Electric Avenue has been the hot topic of the morning — and it’s clear the South Island is about to go off. Back and bigger than ever, Electric Avenue is taking over Hagley Park on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 February 2026, with two massive days of music, culture, and all-round festival magic.

More than just another festival, this year’s Electric Avenue is shaping up to be a cultural milestone, pulling together five decades of music for one massive weekend. Legends from the ‘70s and ‘80s will literally be rubbing shoulders with some of today’s hottest global acts. And leading the charge? Kiwi icons Split Enz, reforming exclusively for Electric Avenue to celebrate their 50th anniversary — and performing together for the first time in nearly 20 years. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime moment that’ll go down in New Zealand history. Festival director Callam Mitchell calls it “a cultural landmark event of epic proportions,” and honestly, he’s not wrong.

On the other end of the spectrum, day two belongs to Dom Dolla — one of the most in-demand DJs on the planet right now. Fresh off massive sets at Coachella, Creamfields, and Lollapalooza, the Melbourne-born superstar is bringing his New Zealand–exclusive performance to Christchurch for Electric Avenue. (Trust us, this is the set everyone will be talking about.)

The stacked lineup also includes Kesha (um, hello 2008!), Pendulum, The Streets, Basement Jaxx, Becky Hill, Sammy Virji, Disco Lines, Norway’s electric duo Röyksopp, and Sudan Archives.

Electric Avenue has always been about championing local artists, and 2026 is no exception. On the local front, Electric Avenue brings L.A.B, Leisure, Drax Project, Fazerdaze, Kora, Supergroove, Bret McKenzie (yes, one half of Flight of the Conchords), and even Remix founder and local DJ, Tim Phin.

With 50+ acts, two outdoor main stages, and up to 45,000 people a day, Electric Avenue 2026 is shaping up to be the biggest festival Christchurch has ever seen.
