Taylor Swift is being sued for $42 million over lyrics in 'Shake it Off'

Unless you've been living under a rock (with no access to TV, radio, or the internet) for the past year, you've probably heard Taylor Swift's song 'Shake it Off' a fair few times. Her latest album 1989 completely reignited our love for Swift - as if it had even gone anywhere in the first place - so when we heard that she's being sued for $42 million over the song's lyrics, we had to do some research... Musician Jesse Graham is filing a lawsuit against Taylor, saying that she stole the lyrics 'The haters gonna hate / The players gonna play' from his 2013 song, 'Haters Gone Hate' 'Her hook is the same as mine. If I didn’t write the song ‘Haters Gone Hate,’ there wouldn’t be a song called ‘Shake It Off’ … At first I was going to let it go, but this song is my song all the way.' Graham told the New York Daily News.
