Whisky lovers, get ready for Ardbeg Day 2017

Ardbeg Day is set to celebrate the 1815 illustrious smoky malt whisky in New Zealand for its sixth year!

Enthusiasts of ‘the peaty paradox’ are welcomed to pay tribute to the deep-sea legends with the release of the limited-edition Ardbeg Kelpie at the four New Zealand Embassies in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch on Saturday 3rd June.

The annual event welcomes whisky connoisseurs to the four standing Ardbeg Embassies nationwide, which include Auckland’s The Jefferson and House of Whiskey; Regional Wines, Beers and Spirits in the capital; and Whisky Galore in Christchurch.

Ardbeg Day is prepared to allure eager whisky drinkers under the sea to bring those myths to life with delicious seafood canapés and a fun-filled day of games and prizes.

The Ardbeg Distillery settles on the southern coast of Islay near mysterious waters, where tales of mythical creatures like Kelpies lure unsuspecting islanders into the depths of the ocean.

New Zealander’s will be among the first around the globe to unveil Ardbeg’s 2017 special edition whisky, the Ardbeg Kelpie, which delivers an intense aroma of oily peat, smoked fish and hints of seaweed, followed by a rise crescendo of treacle coffee, smoky bacon and lots of dark chocolate.  Let your taste buds run wild and experience the divine seaside aromas at this worldwide festivity.

If you are a lover of a sweet whisky beverage, get your Black Sea cask of Ardbeg Kelpie pronto as there is a limited number bottles available in the country for $186 each.
