Cartier reimagines an icon in its latest editions to Clash—just in time for a revival of rebellious style
Given that it is a Maison with such familiarity in its form, it is very rare for Cartier to reinvent its designs. Instead, it evolves. Take last year’s Love Collection, for instance—a continuation of the motif that helped make the brand a household name. Now, only a month into the new year, a new collection finds its next pathway: a collection with a little spunk and polished nonconformity. We’re talking about the evolution of Clash.

As much as the design is a symbol of a more rebellious wearer, it is also driven by sensorial make—the pieces are interactive and playful; they make a delicate sound, they move fluidly, they meld with the wearer. It is, then, one of the best representations of Cartier’s precision engineering, a testament to the Maison’s intuition and craftsmanship, where traditional jewellery savoir-faire meets modern technical mastery. And the wearability of these pieces makes them perfect for stacking, interlocking, and adding some playfulness back into the mundane.

As part of this new expression of Clash, colour is reintroduced. New editions see precious stones and dyed agates accentuate the jewellery’s jagged form, bringing a fresh vibrancy to the collection while preserving its bold identity. It is a free-spirited aesthetic—pieces designed for someone who doesn’t mindlessly follow trends or moments, but instead sets them without even realising. A clash of codes, if you will.
