Coach Introduces Spring ‘23 Collection with help from Lil Nas X

New York Fashion Week saw Coach debut Creative Director Stuart Vevers’ Spring 2023 collection. Attendees were transported to a New York City pier via the immersive set design, inspired by the evocative histories of the New York City piers and the creativity and community found there. The collection itself took the crowd above and beyond, exploring American heritage through the lens of fluidity and circularity, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and diversity.

The newest in Coach collections introduced an expressive view of luxury. Combining the art of circularity, heritage, and pop culture, to create a new value proposition for fashion and luxury. Including ready-to-wear and bags crafted of repurposed leather jackets and football leather, as well as love-worn, hand-knitted fisherman’s sweaters and distressed denim workwear. To tie in the heritage reference, pieces were juxtaposed with short gingham dresses, finished with black lace and overdyed varsity sweaters.

The collection also unveiled the new imaginations of the iconic Coach ‘Tabby’ bag, harking a messenger style and in a colourful jelly material, tying in the summer sun and beachy undercurrent of the collection.

As a part of the show, Coach also unveiled their new global ambassador, multi-platinum artist, singer, and songwriter, Lil Nas X. His expressive and inspiring self-confidence brings to life the house’s legacy of innovation and courageous self-expression. His first campaign is set to be revealed next month.
