An unmissable Dior haute couture exhibition opens in Canada!

The Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) has an exciting new exhibition gracing it's halls; Christian Dior's haute couture collection will be on show from November 25, 2017 to March 18, 2018. Showcasing pieces from Dior's first decade of haute couture, ranging from 1947-57, this collection of beautiful vintage clothes allows us to really see how the brand has changed and developed over the years.

In this collection, created soon after WWII ended, we can see the beginnings of a more romantic era in terms of fashion; cinched waists and long full skirts were taking over from the boxy shoulder pads and short skirts of the early forties.

This collection played a part in the progression of fashion in this era, landing itself a place in the fashion hall of fame.

The ROM, known to be Toronto's most prestigious museum, already has an impressive reputation in the fashion industry. Already home to 55,000 fashion and textile pieces, we can rest easy that these iconic couture masterpieces are in good hands.

If you want to see this iconic collection yourself, tickets are a mere USD$28 , but you'll have to grab a return flight to Canada too. But with the original Dior couture collection on offer, we don't think we'd mind.
