Fashion & Polo: The Verve Clicquot marquee at the Polo Open

If you have attended The Land Rover NZ Polo Open, you’ll know that the Veuve Clicquot marquee is where you can find anything and everything fashion and fun.

This year, to celebrate their fifth anniversary with the NZ Polo, they've partnered up with Kiwi designers Kathryn Wilson, Huffer, and Deadly Ponies. Each of the designers will each create a piece of polo fashion, which ties in with this year’s theme at the Veuve Clicquot marquee – Rio Carnival!

With the 2016 Olympics set in Rio, Brazil approaching rather quickly, the theme of Rio Carnival is fairly fitting and what better way to celebrate, than by incorporating the amazing fashion that our local designers showcase. Each of the three designs will be gifted to a New Zealand athlete who will be heading off to the Olympics later this year, and the athletes will debut the designs on the ‘yellow’ carpet at the Polo on February 21st.

Hockey star Anita Punt will receive a pair of Kathryn Wilson heels, triathlete Tony Dodds a shirt from Huffer, and Olympic gold medallist Lisa Carrington will receive a Deadly Ponies bag – uhh, jealous! The Veuve Clicquot marquee will play host to a whole load of music and unique entertainment, along with carnival food & flutes of Veuve of course. Count us in!
