Georgia Fowler to host NZ's Project Runway!

Former Remix cover girl Georgia Fowler has been announced as the new host of TVNZ 2's latest venture - Project Runway New Zealand

Following in the footsteps of fellow model and Victoria's Secret Angel, Heidi Klum, who hosts the US version, Georgia will take the lead as the host and head judge of the localised version of the hit TV series.

"I couldn't be more excited to be coming home to be part of the very first season of Project Runway New Zealand," the leggy brunette says.

"To help launch the career of a Kiwi designer, while giving people a glimpse into the world of fashion, is beyond exciting," Georgia exclaims.

Georgia's own rise to fame reads much like a fairytale success story - a then 12-year-old Georgia was discovered while at a casting with her older sister, and received her big break walking for Chanel during their 2012 Versailles show.

Fast-forward six years, and the Kiwi-born model has graced runways the world over for the likes of Victoria's Secret, Miu Miu, TopShop, Jeremy Scott, DKNY and Yeezy.

Much like its American counterpart, Project Runway New Zealand will see budding designers compete for the opportunity to present their designs to a panel of esteemed judges, and the rest of the country.

Every week, these ambitious designers will compete against each other in a series of challenges that will test their creativity, finesse, and eye for design.
