Gubb & Mackie's new collection is a midcentury dream

Gubb & Mackie are going back to their roots for their Spring/Summer 2017 collection, drawing inspiration from the post-war era. Giving off a strong 1950s and 1960s vibe, the collection draws inspiration in the form of silhouettes, colour, patterns and textures from the era.

Turquoise, lemon, faded red and sage green, as well as floral prints and seersucker breathe life into the line. In terms of texture, corduroy reigns supreme. With a strong focus on New Zealand manufacturing, the collection has a decidedly premium feel. Gubb & Mackie’s usual focus – travel and leisure – remains.

In addition, the line includes sportswear pieces, resulting in a collection which caters to even the most casual sartorial occasion. The brand also offers a carefully curated range of footwear from leading international brands in order to complete the laid-back aesthetic.
