We can’t stop thinking about one of the hottest celebrity campaigns of the year—Jacob Elordi for Cartier
Jacob Elordi is a paradox. The Australian actor is a face that seems to appear everywhere at once, yet somehow remains endlessly compelling. It feels only natural, then, that the actor-turned-fashion muse has joined the ranks of a rare few, announced as Cartier’s newest ambassador.
The appointment marks a defining moment for the Maison, whose creative energy has once again transformed one of its most iconic stories. Elordi was among the very first to wear the new Love Unlimited collection, appearing in a suite of creative content and still photography by Sofia Coppola.
Born in New York in 1969, the original Love collection was conceived during a cultural shift, redefining what it meant to love. ‘Love has such a strong connection to New York and its cinematic history, and that’s the feeling we wanted to bring to life,’ Elordi shares.

That same sentiment resonates with Coppola. ‘I loved working on this with Jacob and for Cartier, because I feel a warmth and closeness to them both, so it is sincere,’ she says. ‘I always love shooting Jacob because he’s someone I love, and he’s so charismatic and charming, and the Cartier Love collection is such a classic. I liked portraying it in an intimate way, that hopefully feels sweet and romantic and a contrast from luxury jewellery big production photo shoots.’
Secured with a screwdriver, the original Love design turned intimacy into intent—a quiet act of defiance against convention. Through the decades, its oval form and visible screws have remained instantly recognisable: romantic yet restrained, classic yet modern. Evolving through metals, scales and interpretations, it has never lost its conviction.
Now, with Love Unlimited—revolutionary in both concept and craftsmanship—Cartier opens a new chapter. The design trades structure for movement: a fully flexible bracelet composed of 200 miniature components that curve fluidly with the body. The signature screws remain, each hand-polished and recalibrated for perfect balance. Its invisible clasp—a new Cartier patent—allows one bracelet to connect seamlessly with another, forming a pair or an unbroken line. Love, without limits.

‘It’s such a great design, classic and a romantic idea. I like that it’s sweet and cool at the same time,’ Coppola reflects. ‘The new Unlimited one is a really impressive evolution and looked great on Jacob. I love when something is really beautifully made but still feels easy.’
If the original Love collection embodied permanence, Love Unlimited speaks to continuity. It mirrors how relationships evolve—shifting, deliberate, deeply personal. This sentiment is beautifully expressed by Jacob Elordi through the eyes of Sofia Coppola. ‘It’s always a joy to work with Sofia. After Priscilla, reconnecting felt really natural. There’s an ease between us—we understand each other creatively and have a shared view of the work,’ Elordi says.
Beyond creative musings, this story shows that, more than fifty years on, Cartier’s vision of love continues to move with the times. What began as a symbol of commitment now reads as a study in connection—an icon that never stops finding new ways to mean something true.
