Meet Bvlgari’s New Brand Ambassador, Remix Cover Star Maia Mitchell

Maia Mitchell approaches fashion with a sense of play. There’s an instinctive ease to the way she dresses — a willingness to mix the refined with the unexpected, and to let personality lead the way. Now, as Bvlgari’s new Brand Ambassador, that sensibility meets the unmistakable boldness of the Roman Maison. The pairing feels entirely natural.

For the Australian actress, jewellery is both precious and personal. The pieces may carry extraordinary craftsmanship and history, but ultimately, come alive through the person wearing them.

“There’s definitely reverence around fine jewellery because it really is so special,” she says. “But that doesn’t mean you can’t make it your own and have fun with the styling.”

It’s a philosophy that finds its counterpart in Bvlgari itself. The Maison has never been afraid of a little drama. Its designs are recognisable for their sculptural forms, vivid colour and confident proportions — a visual language that has continued to evolve without losing its origins.

“I love that Bvlgari isn’t afraid to be bold,” Maia says. “There’s this incredible confidence in the design, but it’s always backed by extraordinary craftsmanship and heritage.”

For Maia, stepping into a Maison with this kind of legacy carries a particular weight.

“It’s a real privilege. It’s also a little surreal,” she says. “I grew up in a country town in Australia, so it feels pretty remarkable. To be welcomed into a Maison with that kind of heritage is really special, and I’m so excited to be a part of its story.”

What draws her in is the balance Bvlgari strikes between history and reinvention — the ability to carry a rich legacy forward without ever being confined by it.

“What I love about Bvlgari is that it has such a rich history and such a distinct point of view, but it still feels incredibly modern and full of confidence. I’ve been lucky enough to wear Bvlgari pieces over the years, but getting to know the Maison’s history has made me appreciate them on a much deeper level,” she says.

“It has such an extraordinary heritage, yet it never feels rooted in the past. It keeps evolving while staying completely true to itself, and I really admire that.”

There is something of that same ease in the way Maia approaches dressing. Rather than treating fine jewellery as something reserved for the grandest occasions, she folds it into the everyday — allowing the unexpected to sit alongside the exquisite.

“My style is pretty low key, so I like to mix the refinement of the pieces with something unexpected, like a leather jacket or a vintage tee,” she says. “I think everyone looks best when they’re not overthinking it.”
