Miranda Kerr debuts her AMOUR jewellery collection with Michael Hill
Inspiration has a way of sparking when we least expect it. For some, it reveals itself in seemingly ordinary moments. For others, like Miranda Kerr, inspiration strikes—and sticks—drawn from places we’ve travelled to and hold dearly; preserved memories that linger long after passport stamps fade.
Almost two years after the model, entrepreneur, and creative force announced her ambassador role with New Zealand jeweller Michael Hill, Kerr enters a new chapter with the label—one that marries her creativity with Michael Hill’s legacy of craftsmanship and one ultimately guided by the City of Love: Paris.
Together, the two present AMOUR: The Miranda Kerr Collection—a nine-piece jewellery edit that reflects everyday modern luxury, developed exclusively for Michael Hill.
“The AMOUR collection was inspired by Paris, where even the simplest moments can feel magical. Paris holds such a special place in my heart. It’s where many of my dreams came to life—walking the runways, surrounded by beauty, artistry, and that incredible creative energy,” Kerr said.
Speaking ahead of the collection’s highly anticipated launch, Miranda shares the stories behind the hidden meanings woven into the collection and the importance of leading—and living—with love.
You’ve had such a long relationship with Michael Hill. What made this the right moment to design a collection together?
Well, when Michael Hill asked me to become an ambassador, I was like, yes, but can I also design a collection for you? I really love design. It excites me, lights me up, and inspires me to create. I think we all have that creativity inside us, but for me, it feels especially strong. So I put together a proposal for Michael Hill with my ideas, sketches, and concepts. I shared it with them, and they were really excited!
When you first began thinking about the AMOUR collection, what feeling or story did you want it to tell?
I wanted it to feel like something from my heart to yours, because love is such a powerful energy. When we lead with love, it creates so much more connection and kindness in the world. We can either come from love or from fear, and I feel that having these little reminders—like wearing the hearts—helps bring us back to that loving space. It creates a ripple effect. It has the ability to heal, to connect people, and to uplift everyone.
What surprised you most about the jewellery design process?
I think the precision that goes into every detail—from refining the shape to the settings—really surprised me. There’s so much craftsmanship behind fine jewellery. You might have an idea for a design, but you also have to consider the bigger picture: will people want to invest in it? Is the price point right? Is it attainable? I like to create what I call “affordable luxury”—pieces you can save for and buy, but also keep forever. They’re timeless, but more accessible.
How did you balance designing pieces that reflected your own taste and personal stories while creating something that would resonate with a wider audience?
Michael Hill has such deep experience in understanding what resonates with their customers, so it was about finding that balance—bringing in my personal inspiration while working closely with their team to create pieces that feel timeless. It’s a modern take on a traditional heart, but still feels special and unique. For example, the heart detail on the side is something I haven’t really seen before. It was really fun creating these pieces, and I actually sleep in them every night—believe it or not—they’re so comfortable!
Jewellery from Michael Hill often becomes very sentimental over time. Are there any pieces from the AMOUR collection that hold particular emotional significance for you?
I love them all—they’re like my children because I put so much attention into every detail. But I’d say the interlocking heart design, on the tennis bracelet and necklace, is particularly personal, because, for as long as I can remember, I’ve doodled hearts—one this way, one that way—so that’s where the inspiration came from. A classic tennis bracelet is such a timeless piece, something really special to receive and to wear for life. What I love about this design is that you don’t realise the hearts are interlocking until you look closely. So there’s this special, little hidden meaning.
How are you planning to style and layer the pieces?
What I love about the necklace is that it has an extender, so you can adjust the length and layer it in a way that works for you. We all have different necklines, so I wanted people to be able to choose where the heart sits—whether that’s higher on the clavicle or a little lower. It’s fun to stack pieces and mix them with what you already own. The heart ring, for example, pairs easily with other jewellery and comes in a larger size—I wear mine as a thumb ring! I’ve mostly been wearing these pieces every day and then adding others here and there to layer. And I’m all for mixing metals—I think it’s very modern. I love combining silver and gold.
