Tommy Hilfiger is proud to reveal the Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya collaborative collection, co-designed by leading American designer Tommy Hilfiger and singer, actress, and global TOMMY HILFIGER womenswear ambassador, Zendaya. Fans are now officially able to get a coveted glimpse of selected styles as well as a behind-the-scenes look into the collection’s creation on usa.tommy.com. Starting March 2nd, add your favourite pieces to your tommy.com wish-list ready for purchase.
The first TommyXZendaya collection celebrates strong, iconic women of the 1970s era. Acknowledging the legendary 1973 Battle of Versailles fashion show and the powerful statement made by the American runway models, the look is both confident and compelling. Think ‘70s power-dressing, updated for the modern woman. Structured silhouettes, such as high-waisted jeans and suits, feature a classic Hilfiger colour palette of rich cream, navy, burgundy and Cabernet red with “T” and “Z” embroidery.
Multicoloured astrological prints and rainbow stripes add playful whimsicality to the collection, from feminine full-length dresses to sumptuous satin shirts. Wide-leg pants and narrow waist blazers breathe fresh life into the timeless tailored suit, while Cabernet red and cream plaid modernises archetypal neutrals. From apparel and accessories to swimwear and underwear, TommyXZendaya simultaneously embraces 1970s’ nostalgia while nodding towards the future. Zendaya’s unique, bold style and haute-couture eye debuts a fresh and exciting twist to Hilfiger’s classic all-American roots.
The Spring 2019 TommyXZendaya collaborative collection will premiere at the TOMMYNOW experiential runway event at Paris Fashion Week on March 2nd. All pieces will be available for purchase following this popular ‘See Now, Buy Now’ extravaganza. Shopping the runway will also become a transmedial event in over 70 countries, available for purchase across social media channels, tommy.com, select wholesale partners, and TOMMY HILFIGER stores.
