Getting ready for Topman: The latest international trends that could be coming down under

Screen Shot 2015-01-21 at 6.01.06 PM We're counting down the days until Topshop and Topman open in New Zealand, getting ready for something that we still can't quite believe is actually happening! As we gear up for one of the most highly anticipated store openings in New Zealand retail history, we've been keeping an eye on some of the international trends and pieces we can expect to see in store in the comings months.

Last week Gordon Richardson and his team at Topman Design opened AW 15’s London Collections: Men (Britian’s biannual fashion festival) with their incredible new collection, titled Bombay City Rollers.

The stunning collection is hailed as a throwback to the '60s and '70s, the roots of which are etched in the fusion of flared boiler suits, patched stars and psychedelic furs. The directional looks Richardson sent down the runway committed to a full head-to-toe vision, which come Autumn (New Zealand Spring), can be easily reinterpreted into an everyday wardrobe.

The exciting new collection is certainly a challenge to the popular Normcore aesthetic of late, thrusting menswear back under the light of interesting and stimulating fashion.

Check out some the trends in the gallery below, some of which could be hitting our shores later this year. Then stay tuned to our blog for more Topshop and Topman information.
