Two iconic brands collide for a collab of the century

There’s a new collaboration in town and it’s set to make street style history. Timberland has joined forces with iconic hype beast giant, A Bathing Ape, to create a footwear collection that ties both historic brands together in a way guaranteed to have collectors lining up for hours.

We’re no stranger to the iconic Timberland silhouette, originally created for factory workers with function and safety in mind. However, in recent years, they’ve become a status symbol for some of the world's most cultivated artists, musicians and style mavens.

This collaboration might come as a surprise to BAPE fans, renowned for their highly sought-after casual streetwear creations, but this isn't the first collaboration from the Japanese fashion brand to generate hype. Previously, BAPE collaborated with Nike on a range of Airforce 1’s retailing for over $1,000, while more recently dipping into the world of luxury with an exclusive collection for Coach.

The collaboration sees Timberland’s 3-eye Lug Handsewn shoe and Waterproof Chukka Boot styles revamped with touches of eye-catching BAPE zest. Timberland’s symbolic wheat colour, quad stitching and rugged all-terrain soles are paired together with BAPE’s iconic camo print, bright laces and heroed star logo. Each style emulates both brands' identities, whilst creating something distinctly in its own realm.

Both styles are made using Timberland’s Better Leather, sourced from tanneries that are independently audited and rated by the Leather Working Group for responsible water, energy and waste management practices. Other eco-conscious materials include ReBOTL™ fabric made from at least 50 per cent recycled plastic and Primaloft® insulation made from 55 percent recycled post-consumer material.

The collaboration is available now, online and in-store but they won’t last long so get in quick to secure your pair.
