Your Grandpa called... he wants his Knits back
Heirloom knits have always had staying power. As the name suggests, the trend centres on classic, timeless, well-made knitwear—the kind passed down through families, ready for a new lease of life. That ethos carried over to the Fall 26 runways globally, with designers adding their own perspectives. Saint Laurent took the classic cable sweater and gave it a low-slung scoop neck, cravat optional. Amiri made a compelling case for the return of the cardigan, complete with vintage jacquardappliqués. A personal favourite comes courtesy of Wooyoungmi, who looked to traditional Norwegian ski jumpers for a seasonally spot-on contribution. The lesson, as ever: exceptional fibres truly stand the test of time.
