A new M·A·C Global Ambassador and Sylvester's latest drop
Everything we're loving at Remix HQ this week!
A tale of two icons
The secret to style success? Storytelling. Isn’t that right, Sylvester? Following the success of Neo Noir—a love letter to nostalgic cinematic icons—the three Conway brothers continue their fashion fable with a new chapter inspired by two pivotal figures in the history of style: Coco Chanel and Marianne Faithfull. Titled Coco, the collection begins with a nod to the woman Kate Sylvester has long considered the originator of modern womenswear—Coco Chanel. Masculinity and femininity meet in fluid dialogue: shirts with ties tucked into tailored trousers, pretty '50s-style tea dresses paired with fisherman sandals and baseball caps, and French workwear uniforms reimagined as matching sets. Marianne’s influence brings a spirit of summer to the collection—vivid colour, intentional yet easy silhouettes, and those core pieces you instinctively reach for time and time again.
A new age of wellness
If you thought the Auckland wellness scene couldn’t get any better – think again. Nestled in the heart of Grey Lynn is Cora, a design-led reformer pilates and wellness studio created exclusively for women and the LGBTQ+ community. More than just a studio, Cora blends movement, stillness, nourishment and community all under one roof. From reformer pilates classes and contrast therapy, to a curated upstairs gallery with works from Föenander Gallery, the space balances strength with softness, energy and rest.
Doja Cat bites into beauty
Did Doja Cat just eat her MAC lipstick? At this week’s VMAs, the award-winning artist caused a frenzy when she appeared to bite into her vibrant Lady Danger lipstick moments after applying it. But the stunt wasn’t just shock factor — it was chocolate, of course — and the grand reveal of her new role as M·A·C’s Global Brand Ambassador. We can’t wait to see Doja bring her fearless edge and unapologetic playfulness to the brand’s campaigns, with Lady Danger close at hand (the non-edible kind, naturally).
From Wellington to Auckland—CITRON has arrived
Chef Rex Morgan’s iconic Wellington restaurant—CITRON—is having a resurgence, but this time in the heart of Auckland Central. This one-of-a-kind dining experience invites guests to immerse themselves in the flavours that put Chef Rex Morgan’s name on the map. The pop-up runs from Tuesday, 25 September to 27 September, and will be held in the stylish SO/ Auckland's 15th-floor restaurant, Harbour Society. This collaboration will highlight what Chef Morgan does best, combining Indigenous flavours with his classical French Training as an ode to his iconic Wellington restaurant. An à la carte menu will be the focus of the experience, indulging guests with a full array of snacks, starters, mains and desserts, including his signature Maple Smoked Duck. This three-day pop-up combines the most nostalgic flavours of CITRON with SO/ Auckland’s wood-fired techniques, a must-visit collaboration. Book your tickets here.
