Dîner En Blanc Rain Or Shine: Win After Party Tickets

Screen Shot 2014-03-12 at 9.15.19 PM Even with predictions of a cyclone on the horizon, Dîner en Blanc will go ahead in Auckland this weekend, with a secret location that will withstand the weather. If you aren’t already familiar, Dîner en Blanc is a pop-up feast, a glamorous evening picnic, which originated in Paris 25 years ago and which has travelled to over 40 cities around the world ever since. This is the first ever Dîner en Blanc in Auckland and it maintains all the rules and guidelines central to making every Dîner en Blanc a spectacular experience. The signature feature of Dîner en Blanc is that the location is secret. None of the 800 guests attending the event will know where it is until they arrive. Groups are instructed to gather at points around the city, where they are then transported to a magical setting to enjoy a feast like never before. All guests who attend Dîner en Blanc must be dressed in white, the seating layout is very specific and guests are encouraged to engage with other participants on this extraordinary and mystical evening. “We felt Auckland was primed for such a fantastic event, a city that lives and breathes good food, wine and an amazing outdoor lifestyle. Our city is an exciting place to live with so many new events and experiences on offer and we believe Auckland’s foodies will embrace this event and make it their own,” said Vinny Sherry, co-organiser of the Auckland Dîner en Blanc. The evening isn’t over when Dîner en Blanc ends. There will be an equally incredible (and secretive) after party at a hidden location and we can reveal that our publisher and boss man Tim Phin will DJ. We have some good news and bad news. The bad news, Dîner en Blanc is completely sold out. The good news, we have two tickets to the official Dîner en Blanc after party on Saturday night. Simply 'Like' our status about it on Facebook here to be in to win. We'll text the winner on Friday evening.
