Remix is looking for talented editors and writers to shape the future of the magazine

Remix Magazine is seeking to connect with talented writers and editors interested in joining our editorial team at mid-to-senior levels.

Established nearly 30 years ago and still independently owned, Remix is a globally recognised multimedia lifestyle brand that delivers curated content and inspiration to a growing audience of readers. As one of New Zealand’s leading fashion and lifestyle publications, Remix is known for high-quality storytelling, original photography, and access to global talent.

Reporting to the Publisher/Owner, this opportunity offers the chance to contribute to the quarterly print magazine, lead editorial shoots, work on brand and partnership campaigns, and collaborate with the wider editorial and commercial teams. You’ll help maintain the calibre and integrity of Remix’s content while supporting the brand's growth across print, digital, and social platforms.

We are interested in candidates with experience in some or all of the following areas:

— Writing, editing or producing content across print or digital platforms

— Leading or contributing to photoshoots and creative content production

— Collaborating on integrated editorial and brand campaigns

— Managing projects, timelines, or freelance contributors

— Developing content for social and digital channels

— Building and maintaining relationships within the fashion, lifestyle, or media industries

Above all, we are looking for candidates with strong editorial instincts, a clear point of view, and an interest in storytelling in fashion, culture, and lifestyle.

Not every candidate will meet all of the points above—if this role feels aligned with your skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.

If you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to one of New Zealand’s leading media platforms, we would love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV, cover letter, and portfolio to: tim@remixmagazine.com and tessa@remixmagazine.com
