Sneaker giant Converse opened a pop-up hotel!

This was probably the coolest thing to happen last week.

Converse pratically took over London and opened a five story, pop-up hotel that was like none other.

The pop-up was designed to celebrate and unite London’s sneaker, skate, fashion and music communities. Named ‘Converse One’ after the brands hugely popular 90’s-inspired One Star sneaker, the hotel popped up to set the scene of the brand's story for a couple of days.

The team behind the One Star Hotel collaborated with stars such as Princess Nokia, Yung Lean, ASAP Nast, Tyler, the Creator and MadeMe Erin Magee and asked them to put their own touch on the sneaker which went on to influence the style of the rooms.

In the lobby, guests were welcomed by 15-year-old streetwear enthusiast and Instagram personality, Gully Guy Leo, who acted as the concierge and ran some Instagram seminars.

Every room was bursting with colour and personality. Think pastel hues mixed with vibrant neon lights and lots (and lots) of limited-edition sneakers lining the walls.

There were even a few rooms that were bright pink from roof to floor and everything in between!

Unfortunately the hotel was only open for two days, but here's hoping a One Star Hotel pops up in New Zealand sometime soon!
