How to style your kitchen like a food blogger

As a little girl, there was always one thing I dreamed of owning when I was old enough to have a kitchen of my own. It signified that not only was I mature enough to own nice things, but also indicated my baking prowess (which, sadly, I have yet to master). It featured everywhere from Pinterest boards, to blogger feeds, stylish Instagram posts to foodie demos. What was this special thing, you ask? A bright red, retro-styled Kenwood Stand Mixer.

Imagine my delight then, now that I’m old enough and fortunate enough to have my dream kitchen, when I discovered the much-loved kitchen King was reimaging their stand mixers and blenders to bring the devices firmly into 2017.

Enter the Kenwood kMix range. Ranging from a stand mixer and a blender, to a toaster and kettle, the thought of decking out my brand spanking kitchen had me feeling giddy about all the brunches, afternoon teas, and acai bowl sessions I’d be hosting in the not-too-distant future.

Their contemporary design was made for a food blogger’s kitchen, which is why it came as no surprise when we discovered The Caker’s Jordan Rondel was among the first to take the kMix collection for a proverbial spin.

Remix joined the Cake Queen and kMix ambassador at an intimate baking demonstration last night, where we discovered just how easy it was to create our own mini cake creations using the Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer (with little to no baking expertise required!).

Create show-stopping cakes, traditional Kiwi pavlovas, and the freshest bread (ever) with the Kenwood kMix Stand Mixer, which features an elegant glass bowl, K-Beat, whisk and dough hook to really get your creative juices flowing in the kitchen.

Cakes not your thing? Health fiends will delight at the addition of the Kenwood kMix Blender, which will whizz up fresh fruit and crush ice in the time it takes to boil your 1.7L Kenwood kMix kettle. And it doesn’t stop there, with winter on its way you can use this handy device to blend up hearty soups, and rich, creamy sauces.

With soup comes toast, so you’ll want to bang a couple of pieces of your favourite bread into the Kenwood kMix toaster before settling down with aforementioned soup. Two pieces not enough? Don’t fret, the bigger model has space for four (and bagels, I know right!).

Best of all, the Kenwood kMix range comes in four super chic colours – Rich Black, Fresh Cream, Cool White, and the colour I envisioned in my childhood daydreams – Spicy Red.
