We've rounded up the best haunts with the best times for you to imbibe, because we all deserve a little more happiness, even if it's for just an hour. 

Carmen Jones

While anytime is a good time to have a glass of vino by the fire, evenings at K Road icon Carmen Jones may just be the perfect time! House wines, beers on tap, sangria and bubbles are all only $6 a glass. If that's not enough to tempt you, happy hour here also calls for $5 pizza slices and $7 churros...

When? Tuesday-Sunday, 4pm-7pm.

16 Tun

This copper-walled craft beer freehouse hosts an abundance of taps - you'll be spoilt for choice! Most other days of the week, we'd say get amongst the Tun's tasting trays (so many brews, so little time!) but on Wednesdays you can grab one of their epic burgers and a pint for just $20! Ask their knowledgable staff to help you pick the perfect beer match for your burger. Yum!

Spitting Feathers

Up a nondescript staircase off Wyndham Street, find $4 Heinekens EVERY DAY of the week at Spitting Feathers. This English pub lowers that price even more on Thursdays; get your squad together for $3 (!!!) Heinekens and $5 house wines. Start your weekend early!

When? Thursdays.

The Culpeper 

Bad day at work? Pack up early and get yourself down to the Culpeper for a spot looking over the sea. Starting from 4, enjoy $5 wine, $5 beers and $10 cocktails, every damn day of the week. Yaaaaasss!

Coco's Cantina

Another K Road gem! This bustling, quirky Italian cantina is always worth the visit, but me oh my, for a cheeky $6 they serve house wines, prosecco and pilsners in the evenings. What could make the moment better? PASTA. 5pm-6pm, you can accompany that cheapo bevvy by slurping up a $13 spaghetti pomodoro!!

Cork

If you're wanting to save dollars but still imbibe in an intimate, sophisticated venue, then look no further than Cork. From 4-7, this gin and whiskey specialist bar serves 2 for 1 tap beers and house drinks! Occasionally, they even throw one of their finer, rarer whiskies into the deal. If you have a few rounds and start to feel louder, head down to Cork's rowdy, rambunctious sister bar Grand Central to continue revelling with the same happy hour!
