Veuve Clicquot is turning Waiheke Island into the French Riviera this summer
If your summer mood board looks suspiciously like the French Riviera—sun-drenched lunches, languid afternoons, Champagne on cue—Veuve Clicquot is about to make that aesthetic real life. For summer 2026, the maison is taking over two of Waiheke’s most iconic venues, transforming the island into a bright, bubbly homage to its solaire lifestyle.

The house’s signature joie de vivre lands first at Ki Māha, where an exclusive Veuve Clicquot Sun Club will settle in for the season. Think of it as a beachfront escape reimagined the Clicquot way: sunshine-soaked, impeccably styled, and anchored by chilled glasses of Yellow Label and Rosé. It’s summer, but elevated: just how we like it.
The Sun Club is built around three hero moments—each one designed to match the energy of long Waiheke days spent drifting between beach and table.

Solaire Sunset Hour
3–5pm, Monday to Saturday from 10 December
The island’s most golden hour gets a Clicquot glow-up. Expect $25 glasses of Champagne paired with fresh seafood and chic, sun-kissed snacks—the kind you eat slowly because the view won’t stop showing off.

Sun-Day Sun Club
3–6pm, Sundays from 21 December
Part long lunch, part seaside party, and entirely the place you’ll wish every Sunday looked like. DJs, roaming Champagne trolleys, and towering platters of seafood cement Ki Māha as the spot to close out the week.

Sunny-Side Up Brunch
Second Sunday of each month from 14 December
A Riviera-leaning brunch with Veuve Clicquot on arrival, a curated seasonal menu, and Aikka Sturgeon Caviar. It’s $89 per person, and absolutely one of those bookings you make early—and smugly.

Across the island, Mudbrick is introducing its own version of Clicquot chic with the debut of the Veuve Clicquot Terrace. Teetering high above the Hauraki Gulf, it’s primed for sunset sessions where the vibes are high, the Champagne is always cold, and the light hits just right.
Together, Ki Māha and Mudbrick are creating a two-stop ode to the Clicquot solaire lifestyle—a season-long celebration of sunshine, optimism, and unapologetically luscious living.
