What's The Story, Morning Glory?
The era of Britpop didn’t just dominate the radio waves; it also reshaped the style agenda. Noel and Liam Gallagher, collectively known as Oasis, pioneered the fusion of sport and pop culture, transforming track jackets, parkas, and football jerseys into an unapologetically British uniform. Now, fresh off the back of their highly anticipated reunion and whirlwind world tour announcement, the brothers have teamed up with adidas Originals to deliver the Oasis Live ‘25 collection — a 26-piece drop reworking terrace-to-stage staples from the ’90s. Expect Firebird tracksuits, raglan-sleeve jerseys, plus bucket hats, coach jackets, oversized crewnecks and 3-Stripes tees, all stamped with co-branded Oasis insignia and the adidas Trefoil. Landing in New Zealand just in time for fans heading across the ditch to the Australian shows, this is Britpop history reimagined for a new generation.
Wearable treasures
I have a profound appreciation for creatives who dare to be different, and New Zealand jeweller Jasmin Sparrow is proof that carving your own path pays off. Just six weeks ago she marked her first solo showing at NZFW — and rather than follow the masses, she joined forces with long-time friend and artist Jade Townsend to present Siren, a serene pearl veil installation that felt true to Jasmin and her brand ethos. From that work comes her latest release: the Veil Necklace and Pearl Earrings, alongside the new Midnight Necklace and Earrings. The Veil Necklace is a standout — 1.2 metres of irregular pearls knotted on black silk, designed to be played with. Wrap it twice around the neck, sling it across the body like a sash, or cinch it at the waist. The Midnight Necklace, first spotted on the Harris Tapper runway, offers a sharper mood: over 200 weighted black onyx beads threaded into a dramatic 1.2m strand, versatile enough to knot low at the sternum or belt around the waist.
Papinelle makes waves
Buttons are getting their fashion moment this spring, but Papinelle is elevating the detail into something far more meaningful (and way better for the planet). The coveted sleepwear label has joined forces with biotech disruptor Uluu to debut the world’s first seaweed-based buttons – a biodegradable, microplastic-free innovation that is both clever and better for the environment than their plastic counterparts. We can't wait to get our hands on the Seersucker Gingham Boxer PJ set with these revolutionary buttons so we can look super cute all summer long and feel good about what we're wearing.
