How to achieve sleek, model hair with Panasonic
When it came time for Contributing Fashion Director, Amber Baker, to brief hair stylist, Zoe Clark, on the hair look she envisioned for our sport-centric editorial starring Sophie Song, ‘sleek’ was the word that was always top of mind.
‘I wanted the shoot to creatively reflect a vintage ’80s fitness vibe but with a modern twist,’ says Amber, ‘and that’s where the idea for a strong, sleek look on Sophie came about.’ Hair health being a priority for the model, Zoe called on two of Panasonic’s newest hair tools to help get the look, after, of course, ample product blow dried into the hair for added protection.
‘I used the Panasonic nanoeTM and Mineral Ion hair dryer on scalp setting,’ the stylist explains, who loved the tool’s ability to work super effectively but gently, preventing dryness, damage and split ends, and ensuring hair is more resilient over time. She then ironed the hair in small sections using Panasonic's nanoeTM Hair Straightener, which uses advanced technology to help maintain and distribute heat evenly, allowing you to straighten your hair with just one stroke. Alternating between a medium and high heat, the trick for a glass- like finish is a slow and steady glide of the irons (with a few drops of oil to enhance polish and shine).
