Things to do this weekend: Auckland’s first-ever Gin Lane Party

The first ever East Imperial Gin Jubilee will be ending this Saturday – but not without one last hurrah! The premier travelling gin festival is a showcase of some of the world's finest G&T's from a curated selection of globally and locally sourced concoctions.

But, like your favourite Netflix show, it would be unfathomable to send off this new fixture on Auckland's gastronomy calendar without a big bang.

Lucky then, that the East Imperial Gin Jubilee is throwing its Gin Jubilee’s Gin Lane Closing Party this Saturday night from 4pm until late located through the surrounding lanes of Ponsonby’s Gypsy Caravan.

Gin connoisseurs and novices alike will be able to sample G&T's from well-loved gin brands including Sipsmith, Rutte, The Botanist, Rogue Society, Sacred Spring, Monkey 47 and more.

Foodies need not fret either. Throughout the evening our friends at Gypsy Caravan will be serving their culinary delights to perfectly match those world-renowned bottles of gin.

If that's not enough to wet your palette, some of your most-loved bars including Remix favourites like 46&York, Azabu, Clooney, Mr Toms amongst others will also be competing for the first ever Silver Tankard Award in New Zealand - the award for the best G&T.

The inaugural winner will be awarded on the night and the best part is that you the people will get to vote for the eventual winner! To find out how to vote visit here.
