Beyonce confirmed to play Nala in new Lion King

The only thing better than getting a remake of ‘The Lion King’, is finding out that Beyonce is set to join the Disney and Jon Favreau live remake of the classic children's film. Queen Bee has recently been confirmed to play Nala, Simba’s childhood friend and further along, love interest.

Rumours surfaced earlier this year that Beyonce may have been been offered the role and now it is a definite thing after she announced it on her Facebook account.

The star-studded cast doesn’t stop there though. Some of the many talents that will be joining her include Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl James as Mufasa who also voiced Mufasa in the 1994 original, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Kani as Rafiki, Seth Rogan as Pumba and Billy Eichner as Timon.

'The Lion King' will be hitting theatres in July 2019. That's still a bit of a wait but after learning who the cast is we are certain that it will totally be worth the wait!
