Everything you need to know about Stranger Things Season 2

Attention all Stranger Things fans, get excited! The highly anticipated season 2 release date has been revealed and it is earlier than we thought..

On October 27th, you will be able to binge watch the nine episodes released on Netflix, and reports are saying that this season is a lot darker than the first. With so many questions to be answered like where are Eleven and Barb, and is Will really OK? - we can hardly wait!

So help you get by until the next season drops, we've done our research to find out everything you can expect from season 2.

The Upside Down will have a larger role
In season 1, this place was quite foreign to us and all we knew was that was where Will was trapped! Whatever happened beyond that was a mystery which we hope will be discovered this season.

Eleven is back
It was unclear if Eleven survived the end of Season 1 after that classroom episode which left her with a lot more than a blood nose. But we were stoked to see Millie Bobby-Brown posted a photo of the cast doing readings - meaning she is back!

Will is in a questionable state
So after all Will went through, are we really surprised he isn't doing so great? In a clip from the teaser, we see Will sitting in what appears to be a doctor's chair - which looks a bit suspect. Whether this is real or not, we will have to wait and see.

There are new characters
Along with our favourites, Stranger Things welcomes Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings, Paul Reiser from Mad About You, and Brett Gelman from Love. With an all-new, all-star cast, we can only expect amazing things.

Barb is dead and is unlikely to return from it
In February, the shows executive producer Shawn Levy let everyone know that Barb is not returning - sorry Barb fans! He told Variety: "No, no. She’s dead. We saw a slug coming out of her throat. There’s no coming back." But wait, there's a twist! "I will say that her memory and the search for justice for her is a part of season two.”

All of this info has got us even more excited, and has us considering re-watching the whole first season again...
