Auckland based artist Ema Frost specialises in vibrantly coloured prints and funky ceramic work. Influenced by traditional Maori and Japanese folklore, Ema’s work is a cohesion of fantastical characters that inhabit a magical world of her creation. Every piece by Ema has a history attached to it and her characters have a mythical personality that bring them to life. We love her work so much, we had Ema illustrate the title pages in our latest Winter issue. Ema’s work can be found in galleries from Whangarei to Queenstown, and last year she secured a space in the coveted Air New Zealand Koru lounge at Auckland International Airport. She’s currently working around the clock for her next show in July in Wellington. Would you like to win a genuine Ema Frost artwork? We’re giving away this beautiful ‘Sleeping Ruru’. All you have to do is sign up to our weekly e-newsletter between now and August 31st to go into the draw.
