Britney Spears is the new face of Kenzo

Collaborations between luxury fashion houses and our most admired celebs seem to be happening left, right and centre nowadays. In recent collaboration news, our OG pop-princess Britney Spears has teamed up with Kenzo for their latest collection.

Britney is the labels face for their Memento N° 2 collection, marking this as the pop-stars first major fashion label campaign. This latest collection pays tribute to the brands debut of Kenzo jeans in 1986.

Being a 36-year-old working mum of two, Britney says she doesn’t often dress as wild as she did in her prime days, but this new campaign takes us back to the good old days of Britney and allowed her to play again with her ‘youthful side’.

The collection was shot in Paris by Peter Lindbergh and it is clear that the pieces are very youthful, exciting and daring which basically sums up the chart topping singer. Pieces include a cropped green sweater that was paired with a denim baseball cap paying homage to the brands history with the old logo. We also see cropped denim jackets, knee-high lace-up boots, denim trench coats and an ensemble flaunting the French brands heritage Bamboo Tiger print.

Our favourite outfit from the campaign though was an all denim outfit that resembles the stars all-denim red carpet look from the 2001 American Music Awards. If anyone can pull of an all-denim look, its Britney. In this look she is even posing in denim underwear.

We hope that this is only the first of Britney’s big fashion breaks and we think we’ll be seeing a lot more of her. The collection is now available world wide from all Kenzo outlets as well as online.
