Everything you need to know about Copenhagen Fashion Week 2025
Year after year, show after show, Copenhagen Fashion Week continues to strengthen its position as fashion’s unofficial ‘fifth city’, standing confidently alongside the Big Four of New York, London, Paris and Milan. This season’s forthcoming Spring/Summer 2026 schedule (4–8 August 2025) is solid gold proof of its rightful place on the global fashion calendar, delivering the tight edit we’ve come to expect from the Scandi capital: a balance of established Nordic heavyweights, emerging voices, and a sustainability ethos that feels ingrained rather than performative.

Add to that Copenhagen’s ever-formidable street style set—whose influence in the broader trend cycle is undeniable—and the stage is set for another defining week. This year, forty-five brands will show across five days, with several new initiatives elevating the lineup.

The headline? Cecilie Bahnsen’s return. Marking the brand’s 10th anniversary, Bahnsen is the first recipient of CPHFW’s new Guest Slot, a position designed to honour designers who have shaped the event’s global identity. In 2020, the Copenhagen-born designer—characterised by her ultra-feminine, joyous designs—moved her mainline shows to Paris, where she has presented her namesake shows ever since. Her return to Danish soil for 2025 is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated events on the CPHFW schedule.

Elsewhere, the calendar welcomes back the city’s core anchors: Henrik Vibskov, Sunflower, Marimekko, Rave Review, Freya Dalsjø, Filippa K, Munthe, Baum und Pferdgarten, and The Garment—all of whom are piloting Copenhagen Fashion Week’s revised Sustainability Requirements ahead of their official rollout in January 2026.

The CPHFW NEWTALENT scheme returns for another year, spotlighting the industry’s rising stars and offering financial backing for up to three consecutive runway seasons. Returning names Berner Kühl and Bonnetje are joined by newcomer Anne Sofie Madsen, marking her debut in the programme.

Rounding out the Copenhagen Fashion Week highlights is the coveted Zalando Visionary Award, with this year’s honour going to IAMISIGO. The Nigerian label, renowned for its sculptural silhouettes and rich narrative approach, has been awarded €50,000 and will unveil its SS26 collection on Wednesday, August 6.
