Auckland’s own Coyote Ugly has arrived in Takapuna

Grab your cowboy hats, Auckland's own Coyote Ugly has just opened up in the heart of Takapuna. Goldie's Bar is bringing a taste of Texas to the North Shore, complete with line dancing, food from the Deep South and feel-good vibes that are impossible to ignore.

Built for long lunches that unfurl into no-curfew nights, Goldie's has a drink list ready to spur you on. From cocktails like the Cowboy Cold Brew and Spiced Maple Mule, to classic American beers like Budweiser, with a few Kiwi brews on tap, there's something for every taste and occasion. And, just like Coyote Ugly, dancers take to the tables at 9pm, 10pm and 11pm to get everyone in the party spirit!

Special mention to Goldie's American-inspired dining menu. Here, classics such as Texas toast, cowboy caviar and Goldie's signature Southern fried chicken reign supreme. But the star of the show is undoubtedly the Honky Tonk Hammer — a share-style slow-roasted bone-in beef shin (coming in at around 2kg), with meat that falls off the bone, melts in the mouth and comes smothered in bourbon BBQ sauce, served with jalapeño slaw, fries, creamed corn, onion rings, cowboy caviar, Texan toast and jalapeño honey butter (phew!).

The honky tonk spirit never sleeps at Goldie's.
