The ‘Tees for a Cure’ winter edit

While Breast Cancer Awareness month is in October, the illness prevails year-round, affecting more than 3,300 Kiwi women each year. Numbers like this make the disease the most common cancer in the world, and, of course, is predominantly found in women. With family and friends affected by a cancer so rampant, show your support in a slightly quirkier way - through your stylistic expression. That's right, the iconic Breast Cancer Cure ‘Tees for a Cure’ fundraiser is back with its first-ever winter iteration, and it’s the perfect way to help a family who has been affected by the illness.

Caitlin Crisp

Last year, the ‘Tees for a Cure’ campaign exceeded all expectations, selling 4,300 t-shirts and generating over $250,000 in sales. A big win for Breast Cancer Research in New Zealand, the fundraiser has proven to be a game-changer. Hot off of the success of last year’s campaign, 2022 is sure to achieve even better results, with a new winter edit supported by our favourite New Zealand designers.

Wynn Hamlyn

The campaign showcases some big names in fashion, allowing each designer to show their creative flair while supporting the same cause. Featuring Wynn Hamlyn, STORM, Federation, Kathryn Wilson, Kowtow, NOM*d, Hailwood, Tuesday Label, Kiri Nathan, Taylor, Yvonne Bennetti and Zambesi, the brands offer beautiful designs reflective of their aesthetic and brand. This year’s new winter edit adds some new names to the illustrious list of labels, Caitlin Crisp and Juliette Hogan, making the campaign even more stylish than the year before.

Kathryn Wilson

“The support shown from New Zealanders up and down the country to our Christmas 2021 ‘Tees For a Cure’ campaign was incredible! We produced 1,000 tees in our first run, which sold out by 10 am on launch day, and then went on to sell 4,300 in total. This just shows how much heart and joy this campaign evokes - and how truly generous New Zealanders are”, says Breast Cancer Cure CEO, Sonja de Mari.

Juliette Hogan

“We’re so excited to share the new winter ‘Tees for a Cure’ collection. We feel very lucky to be supported by our amazing local designers who have been so generous in offering their artwork for the new winter styles. Buying a long sleeve tee or a sweatshirt is the perfect way to keep warm, look stylish, and support a worthy cause. ”

Tuesday Label
