Get ready for this stacked food and music festival coming to Auckland next weekend

You’ve likely been to a music festival, maybe even a food and wine festival, but what about an extravaganza that combines all three: epic eats, beats and brews. Next weekend, over just two nights and one afternoon, Shed 10 on Auckland’s Queen’s Wharf will transform into just that for the new incarnation of Street Eats. Even better news: we’ve got your chance to win a double pass.

The gastronomic playground will take over two levels, packed with pop-up kitchens, gin bars, craft beers, and cocktails. A celebration of culture, there will be a diverse mix of fare on offer including modern twists on Indian classics from Mr Spicer, authentic Ponsonby Italian favourite Farina, Filipino flavours served up by Nanam, Sumthin Dumplin’s mouth-watering dumplings, traditional Māori kai by Hangi Master, and plenty more.

As for the pours, there’s a tipple for everyone. The line-up includes pop-up gin bars and cocktails LWF Distilling, Juno Gin, Native Hard Sparkling, Honest Spirits, and Blush Gin. If cocktails aren't your thing, grab yourself a refreshing craft drink from Deep Creek Brewery, Liberty Brewing Co, Morning Cider, Waitoa Beer and McLeod’s Brewing. Of course, Dry Julyers will also be catered too with mocktails by The Beverage Co to ensure you don’t miss out on the fun.

All of this will be set to a backdrop of live acts. Come one, come all, is most certainly the case for this one-of-a-kind festival that invites all vibes. Upstairs punters can kick back in the DJ lounge, the perfect posy for catching up with friends. Meanwhile downstairs, the main stage will host crowd favourites Sweet Mix Kids (Friday evening), Superhero Secondline (Saturday afternoon) and Weird Together led by DJ Magic Dick Johnson (Saturday evening).

That’s not all though. Accompanying the live sets are some show-stopping surprises. Picture aerial artistry performed by Scottish aerialist and acrobat, the “Twisted Mistress”, Lauren Jamieson and old Hollywood glamour burlesque dancing by the girls at Hootchy Kootchy.

Brought to you by the team behind Winetopia, Restaurant Month and Taste of Auckland, you know you’re in for a helluva fun time. Promising a night to remember, Street Eats is a multi-sensory immersive experience with something for everyone (even families – there’s an all-ages afternoon session too). Be warned, this isn’t an event to sit on. Tipped to be the must-do event of winter, it’s set to sell-out quick. Grab your tickets now for a guaranteed good time.
