Lexus has introduced the all-new luxury RZ featuring New Zealand’s first Yoke steering with Steer-by-Wire technology
Lexus has officially launched the all-new luxury RZ with technology and design front of mind. As global leaders in automotive innovation, the introduction of the latest RZ marks a major milestone for the Lexus brand; the first vehicle in New Zealand to feature Yoke steering with Steer-by-Wire technology. Now, not only changing how a vehicle can be driven, but more importantly, how a vehicle can be experienced.
The unique Steer-by-Wire technology allows for the steering to respond naturally to speed and other driving conditions, making for a smoother, intuitive and connected drive. When coupled with the compact yoke steering wheel, RZ drivers are able to achieve optimum precision and stability at high speeds—much like their Formula 1 counterparts.
Although the all-electric SUV features new frontiers in technology, it does not compromise on that renowned Lexus comfort, refinement and premium design. Not only does the yoke steering wheel allow for full steering lock without having to cross hands (making low-speed maneuvering much easier), the U-shape improves both visibility and cabin space, whilst reinforcing the RZ’s modern aesthetic.
