Negroni Week 2026: Non Solo Pizza unveiled as New Zealand’s Favourite Negroni Spot

The competition was as strong as gin on the rocks, but only one red-hot venue could be crowned New Zealand’s Favourite Negroni Spot. In honour of Negroni Week 2026, our fearless readers did their research, cast their votes, and at long last, a winner can be revealed. 

You stirred, you sipped, you savoured—and now, Campari’s search for New Zealand’s Favourite Negroni Spot has come to a close. So, which bar makes the best Negroni in the country, as voted by Remix readers?

(Drum roll, please).

Congratulations to Non Solo Pizza, the pizzeria and wine bar renowned for serving authentic Italian fare in the heart of Auckland. It’s a fitting winner, given the Negroni itself is an Italian classic.

Nestled in the charming inner-city suburb of Parnell, Non Solo Pizza puts a contemporary twist on Southern Italian favourites, from antipasti to handmade pasta and wood-fired pizza. Think bolognese with wagyu and pork, porchetta pizza with caramelised onion, Tuscan T-bone steak, and crème brûlée with amaretti crumb and candied orange—delicious.

Dishes are complemented by an extensive drinks selection, including the signature NSP Negroni—a blend of Bulldog gin, Campari and Antica Formula. The Parnell institution has also been stirring up a Dolce Negroni, which layers Malfy Gin, Campari and Punt e Mes with Cointreau and crème de cacao—introducing a subtle, dessert-like richness without sacrificing the bitterness Negronis are known and loved for.

According to Remix senior editor Anna Lee, the pleasant bitter-sweet profile of the NSP Negroni makes the perfect aperitivo before sharing the set menu with friends.

“A group of girlfriends and I went to Non Solo Pizza recently, and the Negroni was to die for. We lingered over shared plates of burrata and crudo, and the cocktails were delicious and reasonably priced.”

An honourable mention goes to The Bramble, an intimate cocktail bar in Onehunga Mall known for its vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The most popular nominee outside of Auckland was the Hawthorn Lounge, a beloved Wellington speakeasy renowned for its uniquely crafted cocktails and time-honoured approach to mixology. Other strong contenders included Captain’s Bar at Park Hyatt Auckland and Viaduct mainstay Soul Bar.

Although Negroni Week may have been and gone, this enduring classic remains a staple in our weekend drinks’ rotation—and with warmer weather on the horizon, there’s no excuse not to gather your pals for a Negroni night at your favourite local. Cheers to that!
