Leave it to a Kiwi to help revolutionise one of our favourite summer adventures. You’ve heard of glamping, or ‘glamorous camping’, which has completely changed the experience for many at festivals like Rhythm & Vines, Rhythm & Alps or Splore, later this month. Well it’s independent tent manufacturers Lotus Belle, designed by UK based Harriet Seddon and co-founded by Kiwi Jessica Walsh, which has been providing some of the most innovative tents in the industry, including the brand new Lotus Pearl. These babies have been popping up all over New Zealand this summer, with more Kiwis getting amongst glamping than ever before. You’ll see one even made a cheeky appearance on page 199 of our Summer Lovin’ issue, as part of our fashion shoot ‘The Great Outdoors.’ Ahead of Splore later this month (which we are freaking excited about, by the way!) we thought we’d give a Lotus Pearl away to one lucky Remix reader. Whether you’ve got your accommodation sorted down there or not, the Lotus Pearl will take your festival experience to a whole new level. Entry details below… The Lotus Pearl is the perfect two-man tent for music festivals or a quick camping get away on the motorcycle over this stunning summer. Weighing just 8.5 kilos, the Lotus Pearl packs down to a small lightweight carry bag measuring 60 x 23 x 23 centremetres. Fold down and throw in back in the car. Easy! Like its big sister, the Lotus Belle, the Lotus Pearl is made of a highly waterproof and breathable canvas, with a strong and durable PVC floor. Its stylish and sleek design is sure to be a real head turner at Splore. Lotus Belle tents have already made an impact at festivals around the world including Glastonbury, Burning Man and are making a debut at Coachella in April. They are proud to be a part of The Red Bull Art of Camping Zone at this year’s Splore. Simply ‘Like’ the Facebook field below and comment the name of your favourite Kiwi camping spot to be in to win. Winner will be drawn February 14th via our Instagram! Click here to visit Lotus Belle online and here to join their huge Facebook community. And keep an eye out for us at Splore… you can guess what we’ll be sleeping in.
