I Try EndoliftX — the future of non-surgical lifting
Anti-ageing technology is evolving rapidly — and it’s widely believed that the most exciting advancements are now happening beneath the skin. EndoliftX is one of the most popular, skin deep treatments delivering some seriously impressive results, and yes, it’s available right here in Aotearoa.
Earlier this year, I spoke to Dr Rachel Lee, founder of Ponsonby boutique skin clinic La Pelle about EndoliftX, which is a next-generation, medical-grade laser treatment designed to lift, tighten and sculpt both face and body. Delivering results often compared to surgical outcomes — without incisions, scarring or prolonged downtime — it represents a new era in minimally invasive aesthetics, and Dr Lee is at the forefront of its entry into New Zealand.
With a background in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr Lee is dedicated to constant innovation, and travelled to Italy to train directly with the EndoliftX team, bringing the expertise and technology back to New Zealand. She firmly believes the minimally invasive, incredibly effective laser procedure is a genuine game changer for clients looking for results that can be seen immediately on the day, andmcontinue to get better over time.

Unlike traditional lasers that work only on the skin’s surface, EndoliftX works from the inside out. The treatment uses an ultra-fine micro-optic fibre — thinner than a human hair — which is gently inserted beneath the skin to deliver precise laser energy. This targeted approach stimulates collagen and elastin production, tightens connective tissue and can help reduce small, stubborn pockets of fat. The result is improved skin quality and definition without altering facial expression or identity. And as well as delivering some great results for the face, EndoliftX has proven to be very effective for treating laxity and stubborn pockets of fat on the abdomen, arms, thighs and knees.
I returned several months later to try EndoliftX for myself, not for facial rejuvenation but to address some crepiness and loose skin under my upper arms after significant weight loss last year. Dr Lee said EndoliftX was a great option to ‘spot treat’ areas such as this, not to remove fat but rather tighten and refine.
The procedure requires no general anaesthetic, but Dr Lee stressed upon me that I was coming for an active medical treatment, and that a local anaesthetic was highly recommended. She wasn’t wrong, as the treatment was definitely not without discomfort. Having said that, the injection of the local anaesthetic was possibly the most painful part, along with some stinging as the cannula containing the laser was fed deeper and deeper into the skin.
It’s these prep steps that take the most time, as after this the treatment was completed in under 30 minutes. After Endolift, the skin may feel tight or slightly numb for a short period and this was definitely the case with my upper arms, as well as some immediate bruising that increased in intensity over the next 24 hours. It wasn’t pretty, but opting to have this treatment in winter definitely helped as longer sleeves were a given as the bruising faded slowly over the next ten days. Massage definitely helped with all of the above, and by the two-week mark things were looking pretty good.
It’s now over a month later and my upper arm definition is definitely improved, with more changes possible before it’s time to be ready to bare come summer. The change is subtle but it’s definitely there, and without the need for surgery EndoliftX was definitely a fantastic option.
Now available across Australia and New Zealand, EndoliftX is officially distributed by Dermalis, ensuring certified technology, practitioner training and ongoing clinical support.
‘It’s truly revolutionary,’ says Dr Lee. “There’s truly no laser like it in the world that goes under the skin to create real transformation.’
