Chanel transports us back to Ancient Greece for 2018 Cruise collection

We've only just returned to Earth following our interstellar trip to space with Chanel at Paris Fashion Week, and now Karl Lagerfeld is transporting us back in time! Lagerfeld brought Ancient Greece to Paris' Grand Palais to unveil the Chanel Cruise 2018 collection.

The venue was transformed into an other-wordly realm, complete with ancient pillars, ruins, and a moody sunset backdrop. The French fashion house treated VIPs to a goddess-worthy show, which included generous draping, one-shouldered silhouettes, gold accents and gilt leaf headbands. But in our opinion, the real stars of the show were these bold knee-high gladiator sandals in rainbow hues, worn with almost every runway look.

Lagerfeld continues to uphold Chanel's reputation for putting on the most expensive, lavish runway shows in the fashion world. With drapery fit for Aphrodite and sparkles galore, this show is sure to go down in (ancient) history! (Sorry - had to).

We're sure Lagerfeld's runway regulars including Gigi, Kendall, Cara and Lilly-Rose Depp will be kicking themselves for not making it!
